About Us

During a fulfilling career in education, I faced challenges balancing work with the shortage of childcare and maintaining a consistent schedule for my three kids. Staying home was no easy task, but it quickly became clear that I needed a creative outlet.

I had always joked that my retirement plan was to start a micro flower farm, so I decided to turn that dream into a reality sooner rather than later. To offset the seasonal nature of flower farming, I began dropshipping clothing with unique themes and designs. However, I soon realized that I wanted more control over quality, so I learned to press direct-to-film transfers on clothing myself. This allowed me to take charge of the production process and ensure a high standard for every piece. Additionally, to bring the joy of flowers to people year-round rather than seasonally, I partnered with a wholesaler to offer floral arrangements outside of our growing season.

Although business was going well, something still felt missing. I missed the sense of purpose and fulfillment that came from teaching, and I wanted Magpie to make a meaningful impact in the community. That’s when our mission took shape: "If you’re doing good, you’re doing well." I began donating 20% of sales to local organizations, and soon people reached out for special collections that would benefit their causes.

Today, Magpie has blossomed into a business with two vital sectors:

[Studio] – We offer custom clothing orders with no minimum requirements, along with curated storefront collections. Each item is pressed and shipped from our in-house studio, with 20% of sales going back to support organizations, schools, and other causes.

[Floral] – As a micro flower farm during the growing season, we grow and arrange our own flowers. Outside of the season, we create special arrangements for holidays and events, partnering with groups and organizations to donate 20% of sales.

Magpie isn’t just a business—it’s a way to do good, grow beauty, and bring joy all year round.
